Imaku STEM Academy uses personal information to manage accounts, enquiries, bookings, lessons, assignments, exam practice, progress records, Study Shop orders and materials, payments, reviews and teacher applications.

Information we use

This can include names, contact details, year group, account role, learning records, submitted work, booking and payment status, Study Shop order and digital-delivery consent records, teacher qualifications, review feedback and technical account information. Please do not put unnecessary sensitive information in free-text fields.

Reviews and testimonials

The anonymous review form asks for a private email address so the Academy can verify that feedback is genuine. That email is not published. Only the anonymous display label, rating, subject, level, outcome and review wording may be published after the reviewer gives consent and the Academy approves the submission. Reviewers should not include a child’s name or other identifying details in the public wording.

Why we use it

We use information to provide requested tuition services, operate accounts, safeguard learners, communicate about lessons, keep appropriate educational and financial records, verify feedback, prevent misuse and improve the service.

Analytics, email and payments

Privacy-friendly Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights may collect aggregated page, device and performance information so the Academy can understand whether the website works well; these tools are not used to build advertising profiles. Transactional lesson emails may be delivered by Resend when that service is configured. Optional card payments are handled securely by Stripe. Imaku STEM Academy does not receive or store full card details.

Who can see it

Access is restricted by account role. Students, linked parents, approved teachers and the Academy administrator see only the information needed for their role. Private review-verification details are visible only to the Academy administrator. Service providers used to run the website, database, analytics, transactional email, payment, video lessons and file storage may process information under their own security and privacy terms.

Retention and choices

Records are kept only as long as needed for educational, safeguarding, contractual, legal or security purposes. You may ask to access or correct your information, withdraw permission to publish a review, or ask about deletion where the law permits.
